Senior HVAC Service Technician position is available with Napps Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing, a strong progressive 56 year residential, commercial and industrial HVAC/R and plumbing company located in the city of Longview, in the Piney Woods of Northeast Texas. Successful candidate must have tenured experience and proficiency in maintaining and servicing light commercial through large commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems with associated temperature and BMS control systems. Experience and proficiency must include maintaining and servicing chillers, boilers, pumps and all associated hydronic system components.
We are seeking a focused, dynamic team player who is seeking to improve their personal skill level and experience while helping take the Service Department to the next level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and nurture client relationships by providing professional, quality services and timely communication.

Keep client informed of best repair or replacement approach considering system age, efficiency and repair history.

Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of light commercial through large commercial
-
Packaged and split air conditioning systems
-
Chillers, boilers, pumps and related hydronic specialties
-
Temperature and BMS controls
-
Ventilation and make-up air systems
-
Refrigeration systems including ice machines, coolers and freezers
-
Perform comprehensive planned maintenance on light commercial through large commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems.

Perform work as needed in all departments including residential system installation and service.

Sourcing and ordering specialty parts when required.

Preparing new equipment start-up sheets.

Perform all tasks in accordance with Napps and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

Keep timely records for labor, material and refrigerant usage.
Job Requirements:
-
Minimum 8 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems including temperature controls and interface with BMS.

Minimum 5 years experience maintaining hydronic cooling and heating systems. Experience must including direct experience with maintaining and repairing chillers, boilers, pumps and other hydronic components.

Technical expertise and experience in the repair and maintenance of large centrifugal and rotary screw compressors is desirable.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.

Ability to work independently.

Industry specific knowledge of various components associated with HVAC service field.

NATE certification is desirable.

Working knowledge of the techniques, methods, tools, & safety precautions of the HVAC trade.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Compensation – Hourly $21 to $27 per hour (greater compensation for technicians with experience in troubleshooting, repair and teardown of centrifugal and rotary screw compressors)
