Description

Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for an HVAC service technician with 3+ years’ experience. Tech must have knowledge in boilers, furnaces, air conditioning units (up to 5 tons), oil, controls, and heat pumps. We are a company with high standards and are committed to hiring and retaining high quality professionals.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Supervisor.

Hours and Working Conditions

  • Average 40+ hours per week
  • Overtime/weekend work as required
  • May work outside, in crawlspaces, and attics
  • Some lifting and physical exertion required
  • Brazing, soldering required

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform planned service on HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment
  • Install parts in HVAC equipment
  • Complete paperwork/computer work required by management and record hours and all materials used
  • Collect payment for work performed if applicable
  • Return unused material and inventory
  • Keep assigned vehicle organized and clean
  • Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessary
  • Contact the supervisor following the completion of each job, providing requested information regarding the work completed
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements
  • Other duties as needed

Job Requirements

  • EPA certified
  • 3 or more years of experience as a HVAC/R service technician
  • Ability to follow controls/wiring schematic
  • Ability to braze/solder
  • Knowledge with standard technician tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
  • Neat, clean, professional appearance
  • NATE certification preferred

What We Offer

  • Hourly wage is $19.00 to $35.00, DOE, plus overtime and monthly commissions earned
  • Pay potential could be between $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 a year
  • On call status is paid "Double Time"
