We are seeking an Equipment Operator to be based in Southwest Nebraska.  The right individual will be willing to perform work throughout Nebraska and in Northern Kansas.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience with the following equipment:
  • Motor grader
  • Dozer
  • Scraper
  • Loader
  • Excavator
  • Backhoe operator  
  • GPS/Laser knowledge

Requirements:

  • Interact with crew members who are facilitating alignment, movement, and adjustment of the equipment to complete conformation of grade specifications for the construction project
  • Travel sometimes required and applicant must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
  • Ability to maintain safety standards and operate heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving and construction
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
  • Need to have knowledge in highway construction, site work, feedlot, Ag work and subgrade preparation
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required including fluid, filter changes, and parts lubrication
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and practice workplace safety per OSHA standards
  • Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
  • CPR/ First Aid certified
  • Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Lift items of 50lbs. or more overhead. Read and write to keep up with daily records
  • Be prepared to work in all types of weather conditions including extreme head and cold
  • Must be a team player
