Comfort Systems USA- Ohio is a national leader in the mechanical systems service industry, has been a full-service HVAC and facility automation/security contractor since 1979, providing our commercial, industrial and institutional customers with engineering, construction, design, maintenance, repair, building automation, and security options for stream lining facility operations.


We are seeking highly motivated/customer oriented, candidate to join a team of experienced personnel as an Application Engineer with a dynamic company.

Description:

This position will be responsible for the implementation and programming of building automation products, card access security systems, CCTV camera security systems, and maintaining as-built documentation for active projects.  The Application Engineer will use their technical skills, and people skills to obtain new clients, and to manage existing relationships in order to earn profit on building automation and security projects.  Projects involve commercial, industrial, and institutional environments in both new construction and retrofit projects.

Job Duties:

  • Program controllers
  • Design and implement front end graphics
  • Perform owner training
  • Attend job meetings as required
  • Provide technical support to clients as required
  • Commissioning of projects, ensuring equipment is installed and programmed on a customer's site as per engineered drawings
  • Perform point-to-point checkouts to insure connectivity between field devices and controllers
  • Service new and existing accounts

Job Requirements:

  • Two year technical degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
  • Must have a commitment to high performance standards and quality outcomes

Preferred:

  • 2 years experience with HVAC systems and programming controllers
  • Minimum of 2 years in BAS (Graphics generation and programming)
  • Experience with Andover automation/integration solutions is a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with any of the following: Ethernet, Lon, and BACnet networks
  • Basic computer troubleshooting
  • Software/Hardware
  • Basic networking skills
  • Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings
