Mechanical Contractor – Plumbing & Piping CAD Detailers (Competitive Pay with a great work environment!)

DynaTen Corporation has an immediate opening for an experienced CAD Designer with plumbing or mechanical (new and existing) construction experience to create, improve, and manage drawings for DynaTen projects utilizing the latest technology in CAD including AutoCAD 2015, NavisWorks 2015, CADMEP 2015, Fabrication CADMEP 2015 and as well as other Autodesk products.  Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Works with other trades and engineers to coordinate the virtual construction of assigned projects to achieve the most cost effective and time efficient project design for physical (actual) construction.
  • Creates assembly drawings and material reports for use in fabrication and installation.
  • Communicates installation of approved designs with Project Superintendents and shop fabrication.
  • Utilizes knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, building materials, and other construction related experience to complete tasks.
  • Makes field visits to take to verify measurements and dimensions if needed
  • Reads and interprets drawings
  • Reads and understands submittals on equipment and coordinates knowledge with drawings.
  • Meets tight schedules
  • Draws finished designs from sketches.
  • Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
  • Must be able to produce Spool Drawings
  • Must be able to produce Mechanical room layouts and detailed pipe fabrication drawings

Requirements:

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of piping systems for HVAC, Medical Gas, and etc. 
  • Must have prior experience in mechanical or plumbing installation for commercial applications.
  • 5+ years experience using CAD equipment and software including AutoCAD 2010 and up, NavisWorks Manage 2010 and up, Revit 2010 and up.
  • High attention to detail
