The Administrative Assistant’s prime responsibility is to support construction activities by implementing the following Key Activities.

Key Activities and Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring compliance issues with credit cards, vehicle compliance and exception reporting.   
  • Creating and updating documents and reports, file documents, prepare minutes, etc.
  • Printing and reproduction duties including copying, folding, binding, stuffing, hole punching, etc.
  • Attend meetings, manage schedules, appointments, and office attendance;
  • General office duties;
  • Answer phone calls in a professionally polite manner;
  • Operating office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, and binding machines;
  • Communicate with field personnel, clients and subcontractors;
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with personnel;
  • All other duties as assigned.

ASI employees must have competency, work cooperatively with other employees, and have a good positive attitude. They must also be punctual.  Further, this means that you must be ready to work when your shift starts.  So, you must arrive at work with enough time prior, to ready yourself for the shift. They should also work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to:

  • Will regularly be required to stand, walk and sit.
  • Will regularly be required to lift, raise or lower objects from one level to another. Must be able to move or carry objects or materials, will regularly be required to manually transport objects from one place to another.
  • Will regularly be required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of office machines and equipment such as telephones, computers, calculator’s copiers, printers, etc. and have sufficient manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Frequently use the keyboard to input information into computer. Frequent use of telephone.
  • Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze and perform repetitive activity.
  • Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, and be able to push/pull, stoop/bend, and kneel.
  • Must be capable of walking up and down stairs between buildings.

Preferred Qualifications and Training:

ASI’s Operations Administrative Assistant should be a business professional who is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and stay organized. Candidate should be proficient with using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software.

This position requires a customer service professional who must be able to address the needs of our team members, visitors, and callers in a friendly and professional manner. Strong organizational abilities, follow-up skills, and an attention to detail is key.

A minimum of a High School Diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred, however candidates with qualifications based on experience (3-5 years) will be considered. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
