In this role, you will be the MANAGER and a face of RePower by Solar Universe (upstate NY) in educating clients of the opportunities to save money as a part of the clean energy movement. We are part of a National Company, but locally owned and operated. We train you with Nationally Certified programs to offer our customers a solution to rising energy costs. We offer clients several financing methods, and other payment methods to save money, and control their energy costs. We educate you how to illustrate the intelligent decision of going Solar and having a smart home, and saving money, with a top tier National Company, owned locally. Decisions get made with you, and with the customer – locally, backed by the resources of a national presence. Buying power, training power, financing power are all combined to offer the best in breed for clients longevity. This is a full time position at Solar Universe that has a rich commission program linked to performance, and includes benefits.

In this position, you are a jack-of-all-trades. Not only will you be a sales manager, but you will be the go-to person on your team. This includes but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, and managing your own outreach team. As a leader of the outreach team, you will be leading from the front and closing your own deals as well. Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and manage all new outreach specialists
  • Support and manage a small outreach team of canvassers
  • Confirm & Conduct 10-15 appointments/wk
  • Close 45%-55% of appointments
  • Managing the pipeline of appointments
  • Ensure all contract paperwork is 100% complete
  • Find creative solutions to anticipated problems
  • Analyze the profitability and efficiency of the team
  • Create a fun and professional environment 
  • Develop qualified referrals and sales opportunities
  • Have a blast changing the way Americans buy electricity

 Ideal Candidate:

  • Associates degree or higher (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience managing a team of canvassers or cold-callers (preferred not required)
  • Proven closer (metrics to back it up)
  • You don't have to be GPA smart to be smart
  • Desire to work in a rapidly expanding & cutting-edge industry
  • Want to work in an upbeat, consumer oriented environment
