Brandt Solomon & Anderson, LLP, one of the leading CPA firms in the Sioux Falls, SD area, is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to serve our clients. This individual will provide tax compliance and consulting services to a wide variety of clients. Direct interaction with clients, partners and staff occurs daily as tax projects are completed. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and growth.

We help our clients manage their taxes through planning, business advice and tax research. Clients appreciate our responsive and attentive service when dealing with their tax and accounting. We are more than accountants: we are our clients’ trusted business advisors.

Responsibilities: 

The Tax Manager works with internal staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly by required deadlines. Coaching and mentoring staff is an everyday part of the job, as is delegating responsibilities to the appropriate level and preparing high-level returns. Tax research and writing is also an important part of this position.

The Tax Manager works with clients to ensure relevant tax-related information is gathered so that an accurate tax return can be prepared. The Tax Manager looks at the tax situation of the taxpayer from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied. Some business development and community activity takes place in this role, as does some billing responsibility.

To be successful in this role, a Tax Manager must have the following:

• Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Strong income tax compliance and consulting experience dealing with corporation, partnerships as well as individuals.
• Possess 5-10 years of progressive experience in public accounting.
• Able to lead others in high-demand situations
• Able to build and maintain solid relationships with clients, fully committed to providing the highest possible standards of service and support
• Skilled at evaluating options and generating solutions
