American Energy Care, Inc. is a 20 year old company which provides a wide range of energy saving solutions to commercial and industrial businesses.  The solutions include turnkey installations, energy-engineering, and consulting.  We do business throughout New York, and part of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Vermont. We are currently seeking several controls positions in lighting and mechanical controls, this posting is for a Controls Project Engineer to join our growing business in Albany, New York!

Job Description


The Controls Project Engineer will work closely with the sales team, clients and partners to design programming of DDC-based building automation/energy management and lighting control systems and other energy solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Manage resources and report to CEO.

·         Read and interpret project and equipment specifications and plans.

·         Conduct site surveys.

·         Design building automation and energy management systems by creating submittal drawings, installation drawings, valve, damper and VAV schedules, and as-built drawings.

·         Formulate detailed Sequences-of-Operations to meet project specifications.

·         Develop programming for control systems.

·         Provide technical support to other team members.

·         Assist and support field installation team with commissioning and start-up of systems.

·         Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, communicating with customers’ staff, and providing customer feedback.

·         Provide sales team with technical assistance.

·         Create cost/benefit analysis based on engineering fundamentals.

·         Prepare and present technical content, proposals, analysis, and feasibility reports.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in temperature controls and HVAC systems.

·         Minimum high school education or equivalent

·         Work preference for a fast-paced customer-centered work environment.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.

·         Excellent computer skills with Microsoft products and other business applications such as Visio and AutoCAD.

·         Knowledge of ANY of the following disciplines:

o   Schneider Electric (Invensys) IA Series, Tridium Niagara Framework – R2 or AX, BACnet, Lonworks, Modbus, Reliable, Trend, Staefa, Johnson N2, ALC, Alerton, Honeywell.
