PROPOSAL WRITER

 Bring your creative expertise to an Award-Winning, CONTRACTOR OF CHOICE, for Heavy Civil Construction projects that are changing the landscape of Arizona. Hunter Contracting, an accomplished, family-owned, heavy-civil contractor serving Arizona since 1961, is currently seeking a PROPOSAL WRITER for our Gilbert, AZ office.

 Responsible for:

  • Preparing high quality, compelling and compliant pre-qualification packages, statements of qualifications (SOQ), requests for proposals and qualifications (RFP/RFQ), and interview/presentation materials that effectively educate and inspire action on the part of clients.
  • Developing and maintaining proposal and presentation templates consistent with corporate identity and Hunter brand.
  • Strategically managing proposal response from receipt of RFQ/RFP to delivery of final proposal/presentation package.
  • Creating and customizing graphics, statistics, and materials in support of individual sales presentations. Providing final editing as required to ensure proposal is accurate, concise and effective.
  • Participating in trend analysis proposal and project debriefing and other similar activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.

 Work Qualifications:

  • Exceptional researcher and persuasive sales writer able to express ideas and concepts in an engaging, compelling manner using both text and graphics.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, the general public and architecture and engineering partners.

 Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar field; AND,
  • Minimum 3 years technical writing experience and/or proposal presentation; preferably in federal, public and private proposal writing, AND
  • Minimum 3 years Advanced level computer skills in word processing, graphic design and communication formats (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and MSOffice).
  • OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
