POSITION SUMMARY: 

ADS US Inc. seeks a PPAP Coordinator, assisting us with our Engineering and Quality needs.  Candidate should have recent experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The PPAP Coordinator will provide support to the Sr. Program Manager by utilizing their knowledge of PPAP 18 point process requirements and APQP deliverables. The PPAP Coordinator will use PPAP/AQP methodology to track critical manufacturing processes and ensure the organizational process is used to improve future launches. Will assist in performing Engineering Group audits, analyze, and report out results. Will be champion for Engineering Change Management through Engineering Process Flow and updating tracking matrix. Assist with launch deliverables and update and track open issues with Sr. Program Manager’s support. Support other launch team members and activities as required. Develop and maintain product / process control plans

  • Develop and maintain PFMEA
  • Develop and maintain Process Flow and Floor Plans with input from QM and Operations
  • Review dimensional inspection including (GD&T) results and suggest improvements
  • Identify cost savings, cost efficiency and overall effectiveness
  • Prepare PPAP submission packages to customer
  • Maintain Engineering Change Documentation and Matrix
  • Assist in collecting APQP Deliverables and tracking.
  • Develop safe launches (Work Orders) for engineering sample parts to the customer and coordinate and track process through manufacturing.
  • Assist is conducting internal blue print reviews and communicate changes to the customer.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in IMDS entry
  • Knowledge of Initial Process Studies and prepare 30pc capability studies and 6 pc dimensional layouts
  • Solid background in R@R, completing forms and data for PPAP submission
  • Hands on TS 16949 experience
  • Must be able to understand and interpret Blueprints of plastic parts, assemblies and systems.
  • Good understanding of Manufacturing new product launch
  • APQP and its deliverables
  • Solid understanding of injection mold tooling and die cut tooling
  • Experience in DVP&R
  • Knowledge of tool and die design preferred.
  • Graphic design knowledge a plus

Education/Experience:

Relevant and relatable experience and education with an emphasis in PPAP, Quality Systems in an Automotive Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Database software. Quality Link experience preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. However, this position is expected to walk the production floor and coordinate audit activities with various departments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

  1. experience working in a Manufacturing Environment.
  2. Previous PPAP, Quality, Engineering experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Experience working in an Automotive Manufacturing Environment; Tier 2
  2. Experience in more than one of the following disciplines: engineering, and quality operations.
  3. PPAP experience.
