In support of our rapid growth, BirdDogHR is looking for experienced Sales Representatives to join our team in Des Moines, IA and grow revenue within the recruitment and applicant tracking software-as-a-service industry. The additional sales staff will drive productivity by closing new business deals and driving revenue.

Position Overview:

The Sales team is responsible for driving senior-level executives from targeted small and medium businesses (SMB) and mid-market companies (small to medium sized organizations) to purchase BirdDogHR services & software solutions. Sales Representatives will be responsible for lead follow-up, cold calling, scheduling discovery calls, software demonstrations, managing sales cycles, forecasting and closing business opportunities.  This is full-time position; reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop your Sales Plan designed to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual quota
  • Developing business by mining targeted accounts, cold calling, prospecting direct and partner opportunities, managing account lists, and  using social media, email, and phone-based communication to find and close new business
  • Document and update Customer Profile with every sales call (leverage Salesforce tool to capture competitive profile information and understand customer’s business problems)
  • Become proficient in BirdDogHR’s full talent suite. Every sales conversation should lead with full platform understanding and appropriate recommendations
  • Focus on key scenarios including net new software long-term agreements to attach core products (ATS, Onboarding, Performance, Succession and Learning)
  • Drive BirdDogHR towards trusted advisor status with partners and customers; building relationships with key executives
  • Understand business needs of partners and customers to design solutions to address both
  • Orchestrate partner and BirdDogHR solutions team and other internal departments to drive opportunities to closure
  • Own execution of strategic opportunities within the assigned territory through closure
  • Understand licensing and be able to present licensing concepts to customers
  • Work with Inside Sales Manager as the decider for prioritization of opportunities and partner engagement; track via pipeline management system
  • Forecast opportunities for pipeline reviews and contribute to drive revenue and scorecard results
  • Ensure proficiency on positioning platform solutions and support
  • Evangelize BirdDogHR’s innovative roadmap by aligning customer business priorities to BirdDogHR’s products and services
  • Provide feedback to the product lead for continual innovation
  • Diagnose customer pain and needs throughout sales cycle, match and validate with BirdDogHR products and services to meet customers goals; conduct win/loss reviews
  • Participate in periodic ongoing training to improve your product knowledge and competitive position
  • Self-management, taking responsibility for your own success
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
  • 1-3 years of Sales experience; making outbound calls required
  • Experience within the Human Capital Management technology, Full Talent Suite Solutions or SaaS solutions a plus
  • Proven ability to manage details on multiple projects and sales cycles simultaneously
  • Previous work within a customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce, a huge plus
  • Ability to close deals is a must
  • Proven track record in multi-year, complex, concept sales
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite and MS Outlook required
  • Positive, upbeat disposition and excellent phone skills and persuasive communication skills required
  • Experience providing presentations demonstrating technology
