We need an experienced Duct Technician to install and leakage test ductwork for our residential customers' homes, who can also seal up leaks in the home and install insulation. Cross-training on the home energy installation could be provided, but prior experience fabricating sheetmetal and installing ductwork is a must!

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primarily responsible for improving home performance for customers. General Purpose: Problem solving, customer service, installation, and time management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with installation and sales departments and any others necessary to provide timely and accurate service to customers in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Removes and installs ductwork, insulation, fabricates and installs accessories, and seals ductwork systems or home air leaks
- Duct blasts for leakage test
- Seals open cavities and chases
- Blows insulation
- Fabricates boxes for can lighting
- Installs attic tents and accessories
- Provides excellent customer service
- Serves customers by analyzing work orders, following daily travel schedule, listening to customer concerns, performing designated work and proactively solving problems
- Cooperates with other departments to continually improve the process and flow of information
- Keeps personal tools and equipment operable and up to date
- Documents work performed in accordance with company procedure
- Maintains current knowledge of energy conservation codes and standards
- Maintains professional conduct and appearance in all working conditions
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of residential HVAC ductwork installation experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid local driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Acceptable criminal background record
- Abstinence from drugs with clean drug screening results

- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work unsupervised, independently, and accurately
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools

- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic hand tools required
- Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of residential HVAC ductwork installation experience
- Prior leadership experience

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, walk, kneel, climb, bend, stoop, balance, crouch, sit for extended amounts of time. The employee is also required to use hands to finger or feel objects, tools and controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, see and speak. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds averaging 5 times a day. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed mostly in extreme hot to cold weather conditions and in confined/close spaces, i.e. crawl spaces and attics. This job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by company policy.
