Job Description

MEP Estimator  

Salary range:  Annual USD $65,476.00 to $71,429.00

(No Payroll or Direct Taxation Applicable). Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Applicants are being recruited to work in the tropical climate of the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean. The Islands are in close proximity to the United States (1 hr flight from Miami) and is a world renowned cruise ship destination.

The successful applicant will join our growing team working alongside locally and internationally trained tradesmen.

Job Description

This position requires a qualified MEP Estimator with practical work experience in high end commercial, industrial and residential structures. Reporting directly to the Directors, responsibilities will include project evaluation and submission of all tender proposals adjusted to reflect market conditions and company objectives as well as the preparation of quantity surveys, pricing and evaluation on multiple projects for MEP trades. Flexibility is required as candidates should be willing to work unsocial hours to complete tender documentation whenever necessary. First rate communication skills and a thorough understanding of construction documentation and business law are mandatory requirements together with exceptional IT skills which should include familiarity with standard industry software applications.

Settling In Benefit: The Company will provide the Appointee recruited from overseas with accommodation for the initial first (one) month of employment. 

Flight and relocation:  The Company will pay for the Appointee’s initial air fare to take up the appointment by economy class travel.

Salary: Dependent of the designation and experience

Overtime: Only applicable if income is considered a wage. Overtime payment at time plus one half the regular hourly rate for work above the standard 45 hour work week and in line with Company Policy.

Holiday Entitlement: Employees are entitled to vacation allowance starting at 10 days

Public Holidays:  Paid Public Holidays (12 days for 2013)

Sick Pay: 10 days paid sick leave at your basic rate of pay

Medical insurance:  Comprehensive health insurance covering Medical, Vision & Dental

Pensions: The Company makes monthly pension contributions after 9 months of continuous work in the Islands up to a maximum of five percent of the employee’s earnings and up to the stated cap per Law.
