NTG specializes in providing both TL (“truckload”) and LTL (“less the truckload”) freight carriers for our customers. Position Details:

NTG is seeking motivated individuals with a desire to start a career in the fast paced and rewarding Freight brokerage business. In the Corporate Accounting Analyst role you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to NTG, build your expertise, analyze financial data, and contribute to long term company growth.  The position includes payment application, report generation (heavy Excel usage), processing discounts or credits, and monitoring daily Cash Flow.  The Corporate Accounting Analyst is also responsible for the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex financial data, assist in maintaining financial models, create reports, and perform analysis to support the upper management team.
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure that payments are up to date.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Assist the accounting and finance departments with reporting and basic analysis.
• Support and back up other accounting functions as needed.
• Participate in the growth of the corporate finance team and streamlining of processes.
• Collaborate with other branch locations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business
• Strong analytical/quantitative skills and excellent problem solving skills
• A strong team player who communicates well, is proactive, responsive, and can thrive in a team environment.
• Advanced MS Office skills (with an emphasis on Excel) and related computer knowledge
• Organization and effectiveness under pressure with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
