Position is Located in Stillwater, OK

Purpose of the Job

From the start-up phase to the implementation in production, the OPL has to lead, organize and coordinate specific Asco project industrialization team(s) to support new product development or improvement on products already in production in order to achieve global Asco objectives of cost, quality and on time delivery.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Management of project team

Lead, coordinate and follow-up the project industrialization/operations team for the assigned industrialization projects (new programs, improvement projects) in order to accomplish the defined short- and long-term objectives (cost, quality, on time delivery) of these projects (including identification and traceability of product).

Activities:

  • Lead industrialization team meeting
  • Guide team through the industrialization processes
  • Enhance communication among team members by being the focal point of contact forn the project
  1. Parts to production

Lead industrialization projects to mature production processes and thus transfer these mature processes/products to the internal customer, the production line.

Activities:

  • Keep a detailed action list to guarantee all deliverables to operation units (OU)
  • Track actions with all departments
  • Lead transfer meeting to move project to OU’s

  

  1. Quality

The OPL will be responsible to guarantee a good process for production that will support general ASCO target in term of quality

Activities:

  • Ensure traceability of parts in production
  • Follow-up with industrialization team on all deviations that occur on first parts during the test phase
  • Keep a log with all deviations and corrective actions defined to solve issues
  • Deliver a stabile process to production (Cp, Cpk)
  1. Budget/cost

Detail and control the RC and NRC project budget that was received from the project manager to accomplish the objectives. Distribute the detailed budget to all concerned parties.

Activities:

  • From the process definition, follow-up the recurrent cost (RC) to ensure the profitability of the future process.
  • Detail in the project charter the necessary budget to support all the industrial activities.
  • From the beginning of the project, track all project expenses and define project plan/actions to minimize NRC cost and ensure that the project is within budget.
  1. On time delivery

During the industrialization phase and up to the transfer in production, the OPL is responsible for the on-time delivery. The OPL will follow-up parts status during the different production phases

Activities:

  • Define a project schedule that will support customer requirements in term of on-time delivery
  • Based on the project plan, track actions in each Asco department
  • When a delay is expected, highlight the risk to the leader of the responsible section and ask for action to maintain the project on schedule

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or other technical field with 2 years of experience in relevant production environment

 

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in Project Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge of specifications and requirements for aerospace manufacturing including knowledge of aerospace coatings, heat treatment, surface treatment (Nital Etch, Ti-Cad, Passivation, anodization, HVOF), Preferred.
  • Familiar with NADCAP, AS9000 and/or ISO 9000 quality systems, a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership is essential.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and effective writing skills in the English language. These skills are essential for writing reports, protocol, generating documents, communicating with customers, etc.
  • Must possess project management skills, detail orientation and strong analytical skills.

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel with the organization
  • Ability to provide clear reporting, good knowledge of MS Office

  • Capable of handling multiple major projects
  • Must be currently eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
