JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years’ experience in Carpentry or related field
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License
- Experience reading blueprints
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Microsoft Excel and Word a PLUS
- Ability to ensure accuracy during creation and approval of job tickets
- Ability to order stock and non-stock materials, maintain material inventory, and identify job materials as needed
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule department crew and supply them with detailed project information.
- Lead a team and develop future leaders.
- Deliver accurate and timely quotes.
- Quickly identify and request more information as needed to bid a job.
- Offer options to the sales staff regarding quotes.
- Capture new business (leads/sales) by identifying additional needs of the customer and communicating to account managers for quoting.
- Complete applicable permits for department work.
- Gather information through communication with Project Managers, other Department Coordinators, and Foremen.
- Provide pertinent information to the Foremen about jobs, timing, customer expectations, and answer questions posed.
- Offer technical support with development of plans to complete work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate job progress through written summaries to the salesmen and crew.
- Provide support for technical issues and strategies as requested.
- Ensure that the department area, stock material, and equipment are clean and organized.
