Equipment Rental Administrator
A. H. Harris & Sons, Inc., one of the country’s largest private distributors of construction materials, has an immediate opening for Rental Administrator that coordinates concrete forming and shoring equipment rentals to area contractors. Reporting to the Director of Rental Assets & Administration, the Rental Administrator is responsible for the routine operation of the rental program which includes the coordination of rental contracts, processing rental orders from beginning to completion of rental job, accurate customer invoicing, and assisting the Credit Department ensure timely payment on rental accounts. The Rental Administrator investigates and handles customer service issues with regard to rental products and freight and coordinates the scheduling of material as well as shipping/receiving services as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Ensure all elements of the rental process follows standard
- Participate in monthly rental job reviews with Regional Leadership
- Receive orders from Customers or Account Managers
- Review stock levels and condition of rental equipment
- Place orders in point-of-sale system
- Receive order acknowledgement
- Confirm backorders
- Confirm shipment dates
- Contact Account Manager and/or Customer notifying when delivery will be made
- Track shipment as needed
- Confirm rental rate and dollar vale are correct
- Add freight charges as needed
- Contact Account Manager when equipment ships and produce product listings
- Invoice the customer when equipment ships
- Maintain customer files and accurate records
- Make arrangements for return of equipment
- Review equipment on-rent reports and keep Management informed of any issues
- Process rental returns
- Inform Customer and Account Manager of return shortages
- Work with the Credit Department and the Account Manager to close out projects and reconcile accounts
Qualifications:
- Ability and desire to grow within A.H. Harris
- Experience with concrete forming and shoring equipment
- Experience with Infor SX.e business software a plus
- Proactive and responsive
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must
- Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have (or be working towards) a college degree or have relevant work experience
