Summary: Drives truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites and/or drives truck with capacity up to 30 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned: 

• Daily performs a pre and post-trip safety check on equipment and truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required.
• Provides minor equipment maintenance inspections such as greasing, checking oil, transmission fluid and water.
• Positions truck for loading. Inspects load as directed by foreman.
• Drives truck to location for unloading. Ensures conditions at job site are safe.
• Communicates with customer to insure customer requirements are being met.
• Follows requirements of foreman for maintaining cleanliness of truck and equipment.
• Maintains driver’s log as required according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains contact with supervisor to receive pick-up and delivery instructions.
• Observes safety rules and regulations; assists work crews as required. Wears personal protective equipment as required by company policy.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of commercial driving experience required
• CDL-A and clean driving history required.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
