Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple crews and material budgets to ensure that the planned work and all aspects of the tasks are performed efficiently and effectively. May manage a medium size projects under the supervision of more experienced staff. 

  • Professional representation of your employer.

  • Responsible for the complete and satisfactory execution of medium to large construction projects with timely and cost effective results.
  • Assisting in the development (mentoring) of other construction staff.
  • Generating, securing and confirming all information needed to create, monitor and modify the progress schedule on a continuing basis in order to conform to the completion schedule.
  • Generating, securing and confirming all information needed to conduct pre-construction and construction progress meetings with all necessary parties and / or individuals.
  • Scope review of various bid packages to properly coordinate their respective
  • Monitoring actual versus required performance by all parties.
  • Implementing procedures to determine whether contractors are providing sufficient workforce and hours of work to achieve performance commitments.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of the bid packages, thereby identifying changes, conflicts, etc.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports and all other regular and special documentation as determined by the project needs.
  • Maintaining as-built record drawings.
  • Resolving field problems in workable and cost effective ways by using appropriate resources (work hours, materials, project team members and personal expertise) in solving work related issues.
  • Performing field inspections to insure full compliance with project specifications.

  • Managing the orderliness, cleanliness and safety (through a third party consultant) of the work site during all phases of construction.

  • Create complete task plans and look ahead schedules with subcontractors.

  • Assist in development/ implementation of project specific safety plans, and ensure compliance using training, tool box talks and communication with in-house resources.
  • Complete daily reports, logs and tracking reports.
  • Record unit cost information for weekly reports.
  • Ensure quality compliance through use of specifications
  • Assist in project closeout by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating with owner, architect and governing authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-7 years’ field supervision experience required
  • Strong client-service skills, with proven ability to follow clear directions
  • Willing to be highly focused and goal orientated
  • Willing to work at high energy levels with a “can do” attitude meeting the deadlines established
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in interactions with others
  • Must be adaptable to take charge and ownership of role expectations
