HVAC Service Manager / Technical Advisor - Salary DOE

The HVAC service manager is responsible for leading a team of HVAC Service Technicians who diagnose, repair and provide maintenance to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fireplaces, insulation, and related equipment. Responsibilities also include meeting sales goals of the service department and assuring customer satisfaction.

The HVAC service manager will supervise all staff who install, repair, and maintain heating and air conditioning systems in residences and commercial buildings. Managers hire new employees and train staff to test electrical circuits, wire components, refrigeration equipment, electrical equipment and similar; inspect and test different HVAC systems; comply with safety regulations; and ensure employees acquire necessary certifications and to

Duties of the HVAC Service Manager

The HVAC Service Manager will be required to develop budgets, set company goals, interview prospective employees, and meet with other company managers and owners to discuss different strategies. They will also assist with scheduling appointments and dispatching service technicians.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess a strong mechanical and installation aptitude, and understanding of the HVAC and refrigeration tools and equipment that HVAC Service Technicians and HVAC Maintenance Technicians use. They will need to go on service calls as necessary. Because managers also deal directly with customers, it is important that they have good customer service, sales and communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM 5 YEARS VERIFIABLE DIAGNOSTIC & REPAIR EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: HVAC, REFRIGERATION, DUCT DESIGN, GAS-FIRED HEATING EQUIPMENT, POOL HEATERS, FIREPLACES & SIMILAR EQUIPMENT
CLEAN - VALID ARIZONA DRIVERS LICENSE (NO DUI'S IN LAST 5 YEARS)
GREAT PEOPLE, SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED COMPUTER SKILLS - INCLUDING: MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS OUTLOOK (Strong consideration given to candidates with previous ESC by DESCO software)

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED TYPING, SPELLING, GRAMMAR, WRITING, and SPEAKING SKILLS

The right candidate will have the ability to motivate and lead people.

Not required but a plus: NATE, BPI Certification and/or AZEL Master Heat Pump Technician Certification
