Aaron Carlson Corporation has a 125 year tradition of woodworking excellence. We are Manufacturer of high-end millwork, furniture and fixtures to the commercial and high-end residential markets. We serve markets all across the country and a few markets internationally. We have three facilities with our main facility and corporate headquarters is location in Northeast Minneapolis. Our other two facilities are located in Baldwin, WI and Morris, MN.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

·            Autocad certification or 3 years experience in related field

·            Ability to read and comprehend architectural design drawings for cabinets and millwork

·            Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite

·            Self motivated to set and achieve drafting deadlines

·            High Attention to detail with consistency and accuracy

 

Additional Desirable Qualifications/Skills:


• 3-5 plus years’ experience as an Architectural Woodworking Drafter/Engineer.
• BS Degree in Drafting or comparable experience.
• Skilled in industry related CAD and CAM software
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Windows applications including Excel, Word, etc.
• Skilled in CNC programming
• 1-2 years’ experience in material estimating and ordering.
• Experience with Cabinet Vision software is highly desired.
• Experience with cabinet manufacturing or assembly is a plus.

Position Responsibilities:


• Provide timely and accurate detailed shop drawings from architectural drawings.
• Learn new software to produce accurate machining and assembling instructions.
• Assist with field measuring as needed.
• Communicating with Project Managers to verify solutions and conditions
• Managing schedules and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Independent problem solving in close coordination with members of the Operation team.
• Member of the Engineering/Drafting team.
• Perform other special projects as needed.
