Connect-Air International was established in 1978 as a manufacturer of cable assemblies and a distributor of low voltage wire and cable.  Inventoried cables are designed to support Security, Fire/Life Safety, Temperature Controls, Building Automation, and Datacom applications.  We have seven warehouse/sales locations and are headquartered out of Seattle, Washington. 

Job Description

Connect-Air International is currently seeking an aggressive and experienced Branch Manager/Outside Sales Representative. The right individual will be responsible for supporting the company's sales goals through effective sales and management techniques and good customer service, maintaining quality relations with existing accounts, and providing sales coverage. Position will be approximately 80% outside sales. This is a prospering sales location with a strong existing client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage independent branch location including inside sales and warehouse personnel. Support Corporate ideals, sales requirements, goals, guidelines and regulations.
  • Develop maximum sales potential out of assigned customers and territories through good sales techniques, and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses.
  • Assist in meeting/exceeding company and territory EBITDA, budget revenues and gross profit.
  • Apply knowledge of company products/services to efficiently process customer information, and respond to inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic manner.
  • Build and maintain quality relations with assigned customers, and increase volume of sales on a consistent basis through ongoing determination of customer requirements.
  • Contact customers as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass sales goals for the company.
  • Calculate prices, discounts and proposals to meet specific customer requirements in an efficient manner.
  • Travel to customer locations as required presenting company products, services and pricing information in a professional manner.
  • Remain current on market conditions regarding products, product updates and new technologies through available resources.
  • Utilize company leads to expand current customer base and follow up all leads promptly.
  • Maintain updated, organized files on all assigned customers.
  • Complete and submit activity reports each week on sales and activities.
  • Analyze customer accounts and promptly make corrections and/or modifications to files.
  • Contact customers to obtain missing information or data to ensure an accurate customer database.
  • Train new Outside and Inside Sales Representatives as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Travel/initially just Georgia
  • Valid Driver’s License

Experience:

  • 5 years minimum outside sales experience required
  • 5 years of experience within the HVAC, Building Automation, Security, Fire Alarm, Lighting and/or Refrigeration industry
  • 5 years of previous management experienced preferred
  • Possession of own book of business preferred

Education/Training:

  • Degree:  Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred:  4 year College
