Driver/Material Handler

Johnstone Supply is looking for a trustworthy, reliable and self-motivated individual with excellent driving skills who is willing to go above and beyond for the company and customer. Johnstone Supply drivers are responsible for loading and unloading customer orders into company vehicles, delivering products to customers and ensuring the maintenance, upkeep, and repairs of the company vehicles and warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives company vehicles and follows designated schedules and deadlines for delivery, shipping and receiving and other related tasks. Ensures that delivery schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for maintaining materials in good order and condition during handling, shipping, receiving and storage.
  • Operates hand jack, forklift trucks and other material handling equipment according to safety regulations to pick orders.
  • Verifies delivery of correct items with customers and obtains proper signatures.
  • Maintains the company vehicles in a clean, neat, and organized condition.

Education/ Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: CDL Class B
  • Experience driving box trucks, forklifts and operating pallet jack
  • 3 years of warehouse experience preferred.
  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Preferred: CDL Class B license
  • 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • OSHA and safety regulations and procedures
  • Physically able to perform daily cleaning and upkeep of delivery vehicles
