HVAC Service Apprentice

Comfort Systems USA-ColonialWebb is seeking Service Apprentices to join our teams to troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems.

ColonialWebb apprentices have advanced to hold significant leadership roles in our company. We’re proud of our program and the people who pursue it. All of our programs are registered and approved by the Virginia Apprenticeship Council, an agency recognized by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training within the U.S. Department of Labor.

What you’ll do

• Perform maintenance and repair operations pertaining to medium sized to large, complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.
• Diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.

What we’re looking for

• 1-2 years industry experience (preferred).
• Completion of (or currently completing) applicable trade school preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA certification (Preferred, but not required).
• Communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Must be able to work independently and without supervision
• Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
