Role Description
Develop and administer Company policy in the areas of finance, IT, and materials management consistent with the goals established for the company. Safeguard the Company's assets through the maintenance of effective transaction processing systems. Report and analyze current and forecast financial results and provide advice and counsel to management.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Maintain the company's financial records in accordance with GAAP. Develop accounting policies, procedures, and transaction processing systems and controls to safeguard the company's assets. Develop reporting systems that meet local and corporate management's requirements. Develop tools and procedures for pricing products and jobs.
- Direct the activities of the accounting, purchasing, and IT functions.
- Provide financial analysis sufficient to manage the business.
- Maintain the company's business insurance program..
- Manage cash through the effective management of receivables, payables, and short term borrowing. Maintain bank relations. Negotiate loan arrangements as required.
- Complete corporate financial reporting requirements e.g., Net Debt, Liquidity Forecast, Financial Budget, Financial Forecasts, Sales Forecasts, Monthly Results in a timely manner.
- Promote and support the company’s safety and quality initiatives in accordance with the duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience and Education
- This position requires 7 to 10 years applicable experience
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required, and in the chemical industry a plus.
- International experience is a plus.
- The incumbent must have experience and skills in planning, organization, and communication to take a leadership role in helping Pennakem implement systems and procedures that will assist its growth.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office products
- Must have prior managerial experience
