Job Summary (not limited to):

• Punctuality and attendance are crucial.
• Interpret control drawings, plan and specifications to test program.
• Installation of EMT conduit, Liquid tight conduit, Greenfield flexible conduit.
• Pulling control system control wiring and communication wiring.
• Utilize power and hand tools, ladders and lift equipment on site.
• Assists with Troubleshooting and Repairing controls systems components and associated wiring.
• Executing and documenting point to point check-out (controllers to end devices).
• Working with electrical installation subcontractors and mechanical contractors.
• Assist with subcontractor and contractor coordination as required.
• Assists with DDC system start-ups with various mechanical and electrical systems.
• Communicating jobsite progress to the project manager verbally and in writing as required.
• Assisting controls technician with internal and independent commissioning.
• Participating in job site walk-throughs and completing all job closeout documentation as required.
• Assisting with customer training as required.

 Physical Demands:

• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and lift and carry 75 pounds
• May be required to push a load across the floor of 150 lbs.
• The job requires walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, twisting and turning for the better part of 8 hours
• Must be able to use hand for fine manipulation of hand tools

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ yrs. experience installing Commercial BAS Automatic Temperature Controls.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Currently a US citizen.
• Good understanding and experience with the mechanical and electrical systems of commercial buildings.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Practical experience with the start-up of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) systems and point to point check out.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as member of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication
• Computer user experience (Word, Excel…).
