Position Objective:  Responsible for the maintenance of existing networks as well as the design and implementation new networks.

Duties:

1. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining corporate network infrastructure.

2. Responsible for monitoring, auditing, and troubleshooting network systems and other corporate technology systems.

3. Responsible for maintaining appropriate documentation and ensuring network systems security.

4. Provide network systems guidance and support to member cooperative IT staff.

5. Support first line IT staff in troubleshooting more complex technology issues.

6. Contribute to the planning, testing, and execution of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies.

7. Follow physical and cyber-security practices for information systems.

8. Propose purchases related to the network and communications infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

An advanced knowledge of computers, data networks, and data processing techniques for electric utility applications is preferred. Ability to analyze and solve complex computer server, workstation and communications network problems.

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Information Technology field. Other requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Expert knowledge of routers, switches, and security concepts
  • Prefer CCNA or CCNP certification
  • VOIP and SIP experience
  • Windows and Linux server and desktop experience
  • Mac experience
  • VMware familiarity

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering required. Exceptional experience over and above experience described below may be substituted for part of the educational requirement.
