We are looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customers focused team, and are currently seeking to add a Business Intelligence Developer to our team of IT Professionals located in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This position is responsible for designing dashboards and deploying Business Intelligence (BI) applications. The BI Developer will interface with internal and external stakeholders and will lead technical teams in dashboard development. Additionally, this is a leadership role in data ownership councils inclusive of members of management and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in multiple business disciplines. To be successful in this position, the BI Developer will be proficient in computer system analysis, data analysis and have an excellent grasp of performance metrics, visual design and the drive to improve our reporting technology. This position reports to the Director of Shared Services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Works closely with product owners to develop roadmaps and present reports and dashboards to the end users.
• Supports BI development, testing and implementation of data warehouse dashboard reports – programming, modifying, testing and implementing current reports.
• Provides support and expertise in the ETL development process.
• Assists in the architecture and delivery of a Business Intelligence Roadmap.
• Participates in the formulation of development procedures, standards, deployment/retirement and archiving as related to the BI tools and applications.
• Designs new reports and reporting solutions from requirements and from an understanding of organizational business needs.
• Ensures the technical feasibility of User Interface/User Experience designs.
• Creates quality reports and applications.
• Promotes the use of self-service BI/Analytics products through BI software development activities and collective understanding of the enterprise-wide business needs.
• Listens to user requirements and convey messages in a clear, concise and empathetic manner using the appropriate communication medium.
• Creates professional presentations for small work groups on both technical and functional requirements.
• Interacts professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers and SMEs.
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Non-Essential Functions

• Develops and maintains strategic working relationships internally and externally
• Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

The qualified candidate for this position must portray a keen understanding of business functional areas, business management issues and data analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Intelligence or Business Administration and 3 year’s prior experience in an IT or Analyst position is preferred. Experience in User Interface reports or ETL and developing BI platforms is required.

This individual must possess the ability to create professional presentations for small work groups, quality reports and applications. The ideal candidate must exhibit familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), a proven track record of leadership and initiative, proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel.
