Cable Retention/Recovery and Disconnect Technician

 

Full-time, Piece-Work (paid for what you do!)

Fuel and cell phone compensation 

ABOUT THE POSITION:

3 Step is currently seeking self-motivated, full-time candidates with strong customer service skills. Applicants will work to retain customers, solve billing issues, and recover equipment. Some areas/instances require candidates to also perform physical, non-pay disconnections of service. 

Must have reliable vehicle – (Physical Disconnects require a vehicle with a ladder rack which can support a 28’ extension ladder).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive assigned accounts through mobile application and make direct contact with subscribers by going door to door to negotiate arrangements with customers to pay past due account in full, or set up the best possible arrangements in a friendly, customer service manner
  • Restore customer’s cable, internet, and phone services
  • Recover cable equipment from customer’s residence
  • Perform physical disconnection of service(s) – where applicable
  • Meet standardized goals and objectives as established by the management team
  • Represent client in a professional and positive manner in all situations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and vehicle registration without restrictions
  • Must pass a criminal background check, MVR, and drug screen upon consideration of employment
  • Must use reliable, personal vehicle and be able to work evening and weekend hours

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - (Physical Disconnects):

  • Ability to work over all types of terrain, and in any weather conditions
  • Ability to carry tools and equipment
  • Ability to carry/climb a 28’ extension ladder
  • Ability to work in tight spaces while bending, twisting and reaching
