Project Engineer

ROLE:

Provides engineering services that support manufacturing operations ensuring on time project implementation within budgetary guidelines while fulfilling both customer and company objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides project management support by helping to manage issues, and planning efforts with cross-functional program teams, contractors, & suppliers.
  • Provide project planning expertise, materials coordination, cost estimates, project status updates, and progression analysis.
  • Facilitate meetings to communicate all aspects of program planning including but not limited to: scheduling, identifying countermeasures, assigning action items, etc.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements to develop and present solutions and recommendations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, assignment delegation, and technical support to team members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to define/manage the technical aspects of a project while remaining on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Communicate issues with the management team.
  • Function as the primary interface between the customer and internal engineering teams.
  • Ensures Program compliance with TS16949 / ISO14001 requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering or related technical field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong project management experience required.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage time and resources, establish priorities and meet goals.
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Ability to interact with employees, customers and suppliers portraying a positive company image and inspiring trust.
  • Solid work history.
  • Ability to develop and work within a team environment.
  • Flexible work schedule.
