This is a full-time, salary position working out of North Caolina. This is a challenging opportunity for a self-motivated and determined individual who desires to work for a fast-paced, hands-on, growing construction company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare QC Plan for Government approval and implement the QA/QC management system at site
- Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer
- Schedule and coordinate all internal and external quality inspections for the project
- Coordinate and ensure with all the site subcontractors and vendors that quality requirements for the contract are met
- Coordinate with the customer’s representative on all quality matters
- Prepare, document and transmit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Government client
- Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the project subcontractor’s QC personnel
- Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
- Verify that the quality-related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
- Participate in the site’s internal and external site audits
- Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-builts
- Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action
- Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
- Review the contract documentation and undertake all required applicable relevant training
- Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues
- Ensure Site Safety Plan is adhered to at all times
- Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status
Requirements:
- Fifteen years of construction experience with progressive roles
- Five years in Federal QC roles
- Proficient with Army Corp of Engineers QMS/RMS
- US citizenship
- No Felony convictions within the last seven years
