OVERVIEW

As a Jr. Systems/Network Admin you will be responsible for assisting our Network Admin ensure the company's infrastructure runs smoothly. You will perform day to day operational duties and be an escalation point for the IT Helpdesk team if they require advanced troubleshooting. You will work directly with our Network Admin to assist him with his Daily duties, research, troubleshooting, and implementation of systems.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years IT professional experience
  • Ability to thoroughly troubleshoot issues, and escalate if needed
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Certificates not required but are a bonus
  • Ability to rack mount equipment(Lift 30+ lbs)
  • Full understanding of the IP network stack/OSI model
  • Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, NTP, RADIUS protocols
  • Comfortable working with firewalls, load balancers, WiFi networks, routers, VPN appliances, etc.
  • Experience working closely with software/hardware vendors to troubleshoot/debug issues
  • Self-starter; motivated; comfortable/willing to ask others for assistance
  • Ability to prioritize, respond, and follow through on multiple simultaneous requests
  • Author training materials, policies and procedures and present to end-users and members of the IT Team
