A Laborer will assist Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Digging, spreading, and leveling dirt, sand, and/or gravel using a pick, shovel, or rake
• Lift, carry, and hold construction materials, tools, and supplies
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work area
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete, gravel, and other materials using hand tools
• Join, wrap, and seal sections of pipe
• Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe
• Work harmoniously, co-operatively, and courteously with other at all times
• Perform miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required

• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
• Frequently lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)

Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety standards.
