CAD Technician

  • Technical knowledge and experience with AutoCAD software and CAD standards required
  • Experience with modeling a plus
  • Skills associated with the mechanical disciplines (plumbing, piping, ductwork) with respect to construction and fabrication a plus
  • Ability to create and update AUTOCAD drawings using “Fabrication CADmep”
  • Ability to interpret material and equipment specifications and submittals
  • Ability to revise drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes, standard data, and discussions/instructions
  • Prepare detailed drawings incorporating installation and fabrication information
  • Contribute modifications (as needed) to improve quality of product
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks and respond to the needs of multiple people
  • Understanding of and experienced in proper drawing dimensioning and use of layering
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment with critical deadlines
  • Professional, dependable, and results oriented
  • Ability to follow simple oral or written instructions
  • Strong organizational skill and detail oriented
  • Good problem solver with the ability to identify alternative solutions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager
