Due to continued growth, Bolton & Menk is in search of a Marketing Assistant to join our Corporate Headquarters in Mankato.

Gain experience working for a professional services firm and get the opportunity to assist in the many different areas of our marketing department. In this position, you will focus on making arrangements for our staff to attend conferences and trade shows and tracking marketing efforts after each event. You will also assist with other events and marketing initiatives for the marketing team.

In this role, your primary duties will include:

  • Assist with company marketing and public relations efforts. Includes, but not limited to, making arrangements for various conferences/trade shows and tracking marketing efforts.
  • Assists with the organization and ordering of promotional items (such as giveaways, apparel, displays, videos, PowerPoints, etc.).
  • Assists in the organization and implementation of company sponsored events
  • Assists the Marketing Coordinator with other duties, as assigned.
  • Performs general clerical duties such as typing, copying, filing and mailing, and run errands in or near Mankato.
  • Maintains confidentiality of company related information.
  • Assists in the social media efforts of the firm (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Working towards or has a four (4) year Degree in either Marketing or related field from an accredited College or University.
  • 1 or more years of experience in marketing, event management or public relations preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft products required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Desire to develop additional computer skills including desktop publishing capabilities.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and is insurable at firm's standard rates
