Job Description

The Estimation Software Implementer will ensure total customer satisfaction is met or exceeded by providing consultation, technology, and estimation services to the residential building industry. Below are additional (but not limited to) job responsibilities:

  • Assisting in build out and customization of Client specific estimating databases.
  • Leading/Assisting in discovery session to learn how the Client currently operates and what their goals are out of the new CG Estimating Software. Session(s) may be done onsite with client or preformed using web based meetings.
  • Mining of existing databases to format information into a form that is consumable by CG Estimating Software.
  • Reviewing existing estimation manuals/spreadsheets and setup up logic within the CG Estimating Software.
  • Working with Clients as they review the results of the new estimating data, making changes as requested.
  • Creating Client specific training program and present to the Client’s estimating/purchasing team. Session(s) may be done onsite with client or preformed using web based meetings.
  • Assisting "self-sufficient" clients to develop their Pipeline database logic.
  • Assisting in discovery session to help the Client understand how their current estimating system can be leveraged to achieve their goals in their new CG Estimating Software. Session(s) may be done onsite with client or preformed using web based meetings.
  • Leading regularly scheduled web based meetings to review the Client’s work and provide feedback, help in setting goals of what should be accomplished before the next meeting and provide guidance on best practices to achieve these goals. These weekly meetings should also include general software training relevant to the client’s specific needs.
  • Working with BIM and 2D Estimation groups to establish what "critical inputs" are required from the BIM or 2D takeoffs.
  • Assisting with the 2D takeoff process by providing guidance or preforming takeoffs as required.
  • Working with development group at CG to develop processes and tools to streamline the Pipeline setup process.
  • Assisting in continual development of our standard estimation platform from which to utilize as a springboard for our "black-box" estimation services.
  • Fine tuning variations in estimation processes to support "black-box" BIM services, but unique estimation requirement
  • Growing the estimation portion of our "Professional Services" division
  • Developing a working knowledge of various builder management softwares in order to recognize how Pipeline can tie in.
  • Providing above average level of customer service to all customers (internal and external).
  • Providing support for existing software users as they work in their day to day environments.
  • Providing ongoing training for software.

Requirements

  • High math proficiency
  • Detailed knowledge of residential construction practices
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Detailed knowledge of residential purchasing activities, processes, scheduling
  • Experience with residential construction management or estimation software
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work as a contributor member of a high performing team
