Smylie One Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing Company is pleased to announce that we are currently searching for a Full-Time HVAC Service Coordinator/Dispatcher/Call Taker (to be referred as a CSR in the content) to be part of our team. This position is located in Chesterland, Ohio


Summary of Duties

The companies CSR/Call Takers are responsible to the Service Manager for performing a variable range of service related HVAC activities for residential and commercial customers. Representative duties include:

CSR/Call Takers

  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Book calls with customers on a computer system
  • Compose and type routine correspondence
  • Convey a high level of professionalism, patience, and efficiency, so as to minimize customer anxiety and maximize customer loyalty

Qualifications & Competencies

  • MUST have experience in a high-volume call center environment. Only applicants with high-volume call center experience will be contacted.
  • Must be very organized, able to work in a fast paced environment and work under pressure.
  • Must have extensive computer experience, ability to handle multiple accounts, and strong phone skills.
  • Must be multi-tasking, extremely organized and a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all types of customers
  • Strong logistical skills
  • Knowledge of the service area which is the Cuyahoga, Geauga, & Lake Counties
  • Experience in Customer Relations.
  • HVAC experience is NOT required!
  • Must be computer proficient, skilled in typing, data entry and calculations.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings or Saturday as needed.

Difficulty of Work:

Customer-based activities require an individual who possesses traits of reliability, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a technically credible manner. A CSR must be able to diagnose customer issues and concerns accurately and schedule the call efficiently to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company. Job-related contacts can occur within virtually all demographic groups, although the majority of working contacts will be service customers, other company technicians, the Service Manager, Management, and staff.  Daily job stress will range from minimal to extreme, based on such factors as the weather, site considerations, time constraints, sales potential, and customer needs. An average work day will be moderately stressful.

Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday (some Saturdays and overtime required)
These hours may change based on a flex schedule
