This is an hourly position for working on our job site in CHERRY POINT, NC. This is a challenging opportunity for a self-motivated and determined individual who desires to work for a fast-paced, hands-on, growing construction company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as pipeline top man and/or rigger
- Mix, pour and place concrete, asphalt gravel and other materials using hand tools
- Operate pneumatic and electrical tools, concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers and hand-operated trenchers
- Dig, spread and level dirt and gravel using a pick and shovel
- Set, remove and clean forms
- Sand blast
- Set grade
- Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools and supplies
- Clean tools, equipment and work areas
Requirements:
- Experience with construction tools and practices
- Work on your feet for an entire day
- Understand and perform assigned tasks
- Punctual daily attendance
- Adhere to Garney safety policies and procedures
- Successful completion of job-specific safety training upon hire
- Tools required: tape measure, hammer, tool belt and lineman pliers
- MUST PASS background check and drug screening
