Candidate Description:

Our ideal candidate should be experienced in the HVAC/Mechanical Industry, either in Commercial or larger Residential Construction and combine Sales experience with a working knowledge of Project Management and Solid Interpersonal Skills. The successful candidate will be both a team player and team builder, highly collaborative, advanced computer skills along with good verbal and written communication. Our new team member should be adept at building relationships as this is a small community with many repeat customers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish, build and maintain relationships with regional General Contractors, Architects, Engineers and Designers
  • Initiate, review, and oversee required project administration and documentation to avoid claims and protect the company and our clients.
  • Ensure contract agreements are expeditiously secured, reviewed, processed, and executed.
  • Review, edit, finalize and distribute project budget.
  • Conduct preconstruction turnover meetings for all assigned projects.
  • Subcontract agreement negotiations, preparations,processing and execution. 
  • Ensure required submittal review, RFI’s, processing and approvals and submittal logs are set up and maintained by staff.
  • Develop, submit and obtain approval of billing schedule.
  • Work with billing personnel to maintain an over-billed cast position and request retention release bill-down/payments.
  • Price, negotiate, and process change of conditions and change order work.
  • Prepare accurately, and submit on time, all required project contract valuations.
  • Request quotes for fixtures, equipment, and large material purchases.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in system installation or project management
  • Desired 4 years of experience in estimating and design of HVAC Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of SMACNA/ACCA Standards and Building Codes
  • Positive attitude with a zest for life and thirst for knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of general computer programs
