Well Water Pump Technician

The Water Well Pump Technician will install, service, and trouble shoot pressure tanks, booster pumps, submersible pumps, turbine pumps, de-sanding systems, control panels, and pump savers. This position will also be responsible for both well development and rehabilitation. This individual promotes safety, reports safety problems, incidents, accidents, or irregularities and acts as a team lead for development crews.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and service pump systems
  • Assures safety training is current and logged
  • Maintains daily work reports
  • Checks and maintains equipment in good and safe repair
  • Is a crew leader, training and mentoring employees while maintaining a safe environment
  • Complete well logs, logbook, repair orders, DVIR inspection sheet and tailgates
  • Maintain positive relationship with client
  • Manage the work site activity
  • Continuous study of MSDS, CEU's and JSA's
  • Maintain all certifications
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned
  • Train crew associates, as needed

Applicants Must:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have a CDL Class A or B license (licensed for a minimum of 12 months)
  • Ability to obtain a tanker endorsement
  • Have prior manual transmission CDL driving experience (other than driving school experience)
  • Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
  • Be able to perform the following physical requirements frequently (67-100%) of the time:
    • Seeing: Must be able to read documents and be able to align truck in mirrors w/proper distances.
    • Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate w/internal and external customers.
    • Standing/sitting/walking/climbing/stooping/kneeling/lifting/pulling/pushing
    • Grasping/mobility of hands and fingers: Must be able to twist/turn and write.
  • Must be able to lift 65 pounds often, at least 66% of the time.
