Ohio Cooperative Living magazine is published by Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives, the statewide association that serves the needs of the 24 electric cooperatives in the state, as the communications link between the cooperatives and their members. We seek an experienced, creative professional to lay out, design and produce the monthly magazine, balancing design flair with the magazine’s newly redesigned brand and style standards.

Job responsibilities includes production of the magazine’s statewide pages as well as many pages specific to each individual cooperative’s edition. Knowledge of and proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite is essential, as is the ability to assess and/or conceptualize art needs for features and covers. Experience with all stages of the printing process is desired.

The successful candidate will have: significant directly related work experience with designing and laying out print publications, writing and editing in Associated Press style, excellent time management skills, the ability to both work well ahead of schedule and on the crunch of deadline, willingness to collaborate to obtain desired results, and versatility to take on other design projects as needed by the communications team, other departments and the individual cooperatives.

A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts or a related field is preferred.
