We are hiring CO-OP and INTERN STUDENTS for a Project Engineer role. Garney's co-op and intern program takes place throughout the year. Students in our program work directly with an experienced member of our team and have the opportunity to learn construction means and methods in a hands-on construction environment from the ground up.
We are seeking students interested in long term careers in the construction industry. Candidates should be pursuing a construction or engineering related degree. Candidates must be willing to relocate for work.
Responsibilities may include:
- Work as a laborer
- Survey construction job site
- Process and review shop drawings
- Work with Primavera scheduling system
- Perform detailed drafting
- Serve as owner and architect/engineer contact
- Purchase and expedite materials
- Verify invoices and perform inventory analysis
- Update as-built documents
- Manage labor tracking, auditing and projections
- Field auditing of completed work
- Coordinate subcontractors
- Perform daily and periodic report updates
- Job site safety
