The primary function of the Online Plan Room Operator is the management and daily operation of the Idaho AGC’s online plan center which includes bid information on construction projects across the region. This position also serves as the primary walk-in and telephone receptionist for the Idaho AGC office in Boise.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED certification
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the construction industry or those with working knowledge of the construction bidding process
  • Preference will be given to candidates with advanced computer skills

 Licenses, Certificates, & Registrations:

  • Valid Idaho driver’s license
  • Ability to pass the required background check

 General Competencies:

  • Proven proficiency in current computer technology with emphasis on MS Office and web based applications
  • Working knowledge of current versions of MS Windows operating systems including MS Office Suite and MS Access
  • The ability to work independently in a professional team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and multi-task

 Customer Service:

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and achieve a positive outcome
  • Experience in soliciting customer feedback and proactively responding to customer needs

 

Job Specifications:

  • Physically able to lift and handle up to 50lbs
  • Ability to perform duties while standing, sitting, bending, and kneeling
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Licensed Idaho driver with own vehicle
  • Work weekdays between the hours of 8am and 5pm

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

Plan Room Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Harvest and maintain project information for online plan center
  • Operation of various databases and website
  • Promote the online plan center and other membership benefits and services to members and potential members
  • Train members in person and over the phone on the use of the online plan center
  • Act as back-up liaison to vendor
  • Preparing regular reports on member use of the plan room
  • Preparing regular invoices for copy services

 Member Service Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide walk-in and telephone reception representing the Idaho AGC in a positive and professional manner
  • Assist members in the use of the online plan center and physical plan room in Boise
  • Fill and record membership copy orders
  • Assist in the maintenance of the membership database

General Office Support:

  • Distribute the organization’s daily mail
  • Other duties as assigned

Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary
