CarePro Home Medical-Cedar Rapids is seeking a full-time Customer Care Coordinator to assist patients/customers with equipment and supplies to meet their medical needs, as well as aid in adjusting, training, and demonstrate the use of equipment as necessary. This position is scheduled 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday and rotating Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be dependable, seeking long-term employment, and have excellent communication and people skills.
Responsibilities include, will not be limited to:
- Fulfilling orders for durable medical equipment, taken from patients/customers and referral sources
- Performing instruction, set-up and delivery of patient’s medical equipment
- Maintaining patient information, processing paperwork, data entry, and filing
- Verifying insurance and communicating benefit coverage to patients/customers
- Verifying qualifying criteria for equipment/supplies through contact with insurance companies
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills--must be able to help patients, answer phones, and process paperwork in a timely manner
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED); experience in the home medical equipment field and knowledge of Medicare rules and insurance reimbursement are a plus; strong computer skills required in order to enter patient information into the data system, ability to utilize online resources, as well as competency with Microsoft and Internet; must have valid driver's license and be insurable.
