Electrical Engineer


ROLE:

Responsible for the support of all Electrical changes and development (Drawings, prints, documents, etc.). Electrical Engineers continuously strive to improve Safety, Quality, Workforce education and skill. This role improves plant power quality and reduces energy consumption. They also perform project management duties and any additional duties set forth by WF.                                                                                                                                                                                               

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides information of electrical safety policies.
  • Generates electrical safety procedures for proper lockout; grounding and energy removal.
  • Supports actions that are required to improve electrical equipment.
  • Develop and review Electrical Project layout (AutoCad); labor; equipment.
  • Support Energy Conservation Team.
  • Review and support maintenance on Sub/Mcc, main distribution.
  • Coordinate schedules with Power utility company.
  • Electrical Power and Controls Troubleshooting.
  • PLC, Robotics and Vision Systems Programming.
  • Data Communications; review and support IT functions
  • Adhere to quality goals set by company and department.
  • Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide safety information relative to work being performed.
  • Communicate the importance of safety procedures.
  • Conduct meetings.
  • Develop meeting agendas.
  • Support benchmarking.
  • Project cost development.
  • Capital project development.
  • S.M.I.T savings.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Understand electrical principles.
  • Power quality.
  • Understand energy costs and consumption.
  • Control development.
  • Plant processes.
  • Must have knowledge of all plant equipment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree recommended or education and experience in the electrical field that supports duties that are required by the position.
  • Kaizen training.
  • Safety training.
  • Project development.
  • Estimation of cost.
  • 6S functions.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to travel to other locations within the company to work on projects as needed.
