Accounting Clerk
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Status: Full time
Purpose
The Accounting Clerk will perform a range of accounting and bookkeeping support functions within PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy and reports to the Manager of Accounting. This role will assist in month end procedures, process accounts payable/receivable, monitor accounts, and will act as the primary support for the Manager of Accounting and the Controller.
Responsibilities
- Assist in month end reporting procedures
- Process account payables and receivables as needed
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks
- Check bank for deposits and manage banking transactions
- Record bank activity in QuickBooks
- Prepare, check, verify, and process invoices, analyze and communicate discrepancies
- Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data
- Maintain vendor files
- Code, post and receive payments
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
- Gather remits
- Apply cash transactions in CPR+
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in Accounting or Accounting related field
- One to two years of pharmacy related accounting experience

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
