Position Purpose:
Russell Standard is hiring a full time Process Improvement Coordinator. This position is responsible for identifying and coordinating process improvement initiatives within Russell Standard, including best practices and standard operating procedures. The role is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing key projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and improve cycle time, resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute process improvement solutions to business problems, using data analysis, and optimization tools to support strategic process improvement plans.
- Lead in the evaluation of field and plant surveys by collecting pertinent data including best practice recommendations.
- Participate in Steering Council meetings- where objectives & performance goals are presented and approved.
- Build relationships with associates, our construction divisions and plants to identify savings opportunities, development of cost effective solutions, and follow through implementation.
- Develop plans, schedules, and budgets for projects to innovate existing processes.
- Collaborate with Leadership, identify stakeholders and interview staff at all levels of the organization.
- Works with business units to develop standard operating procedures, documenting workflow and process steps.
- Identify key organizational change management and training needs that recommended process redesign will have on a business unit.
- Develops tools and methods to track and report relevant key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Works with team leaders to prepare charters and agendas.
- Coaches team leaders in effective team dynamics and leadership.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or another appropriate discipline in manufacturing or construction
- 2-3 years of experience preferred
- Six Sigma certification a plus
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project streams efficiently and diplomatically in a high-pressure, complex environment.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills and excellent English language/grammar.
- Proficient in MS Office, including, Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and Project
- 25% travel required, mostly within 100 mile radius with occasional greater distances. Occasional overnight stay required.
