SUMMARY
This Forklift Operator position is responsible for loading and unloading materials/goods to trucks. Responsibilities also include storing, staging, and tagging materials, as well as reconciling inventories through cycle counting. Assist with daily inventory counts, Month end customer inventory counts, Back up Inventory control clerk when out on leave.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must operator one or a combination of the following: forklift and reach truck, scissor lift, powered hand jack, picker
- Assist other material handlers to balance the workload, organizing warehouses and perform general cleaning
- Responsible for inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.
- Uses applicable computer systems and standard operating procedures to reconcile counts and data using excel and word
- Verify incoming and outgoing inventory for correct count and type
- May be responsible for controlling inventory levels by conducting physical count and using data storage systems
- Completes any other material handler duties as necessary.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Assists with all inventory duties such as reconsolidating customer product and monthly inventory reports
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer Skills; Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Requires previous experience operating forklift/reach truck
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience with inventory duties
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Previous experience working in a fulfillment center
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Will be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
