Job Description Summary
The Leadman will schedule workloads, provide feedback and will interpret and enforce company safety rules. This position is a combined leadership and production position with 65-75% of the work day leading a production labor crew.
Essential Duties
- Balance team and individual responsibilities
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit
- Examine and inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met
- Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs; supervising, training and scheduling employees
- Coordinate tasks for the completion of operations
- Substitute for workers during worker absence or to relieve work-congested areas
- Assist workers in resolving problems and evaluating performance of direct reports for decisions concerning continued employment and promotion
- Other duties may be required as needed

Education / Experience
- High school diploma / equivalent
- Must have previous supervisory experience
- Must have at least 2 years of related experience
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to read / write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively present information to customersand employees of the organization
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Leadership skills; ability to lead meetings and teams
- Strong interpersonal and organizations skills
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
- Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed
